Previously in the story of Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad we witnessed UV receives an official closure notice from Jagriti and silently breaks down remembering his late mother and their shared dream of the café. When police arrive to enforce the order, UV refuses to shut down. He’s arrested in front of students, while Katha watches from a distance, uncertain about what’s next.
Now the story picks up with UV's friends who were with him at the police station, are now outside the police station. They demand justice for UV's cause, and they are giving shouts for UV's immediate release while holding placards. They are blaming Katha as the one who has caused UV's arrest and calling the complaint they have made unfair, thus the scene of the angry mob becomes more intense.
While Katha was walking near the area where the protest was taking place, a very shocking act happened. In order to humiliate Katha, one of UV's friends did something very disrespectful, namely he threw cow dung at Katha, and the rest of them didn't stop laughing and cheering. Hence, the situation has become very bad. Katha was like a statue as she was standing there, she was like that because she was so shocked by what had happened and was so deeply hurt. However, the police were there and they tried to stop the crowd from getting more agitated, but the people who were emotional couldn't stop themselves from reacting.
At a later time, at the home of UV, his cousins are asking Prerna to talk to Katha as they believe that if Katha knew the real situation, then she would agree to withdraw the complaint and thus UV would be set free. Prerna does not lose hope, but she is struggling with her feelings and what is right as she listens to them.
Katha's silence is like an indication of the emotional turmoil she has within her although she is not openly responding to it. The insults and betrayal have deeply affected her, and her choice will now be the one that decides the fate of UV.
